What happens when capability meets opportunity—and you say yes every time
Starting Without a Script
Four years ago, I joined EMBER as a web developer—technical, capable, and ambitious, but still finding my footing (and my delivery). I didn’t have a roadmap for leadership. I didn’t even have a firm grasp on the shape of my role yet. What I did have was the drive to build, the ability to execute, a willingness to take on the unknown, and the hope that I could contribute to something meaningful.
Building Through Opportunity
I expected to be challenged, but I hadn’t anticipated just how many opportunities would follow. Not theoretical ones—real, high-trust, high-stakes opportunities that pushed me well beyond what I thought was possible. I was given room to lead, room to challenge assumptions, and room to deliver.
I helped build service offerings from the ground up. Led client initiatives that stretched across continents. Took abstract problems and turned them into repeatable, scalable solutions. Watched people around me grow. Watched clients grow. And I grew alongside them—consistently, and in every direction.
EMBER gave me the space to say yes to more than what was on paper. And each yes led to something bigger: growth, leadership, trust, and impact. I’ve developed not just new skills, but a stronger mindset, clearer perspective, and a deeper understanding of how to lead in complexity.
What’s Next?
In December, I stepped into a new role as the Vice President of Professional Services. Today, I lead a cross-functional team spanning strategic consulting, security, web operations, and project delivery. It’s a team built on autonomy, ownership, and sharp execution, and I have the privilege of watching each person grow in capability and confidence every single day.
That growth isn’t isolated. It’s consistent across every function in the organization, and it’s a direct result of our culture: one that rewards drive, accountability, growth, and curiosity.
This role is a milestone but not a capstone. It’s a reflection of what becomes possible when opportunity, readiness, and trust align.
I’m proud of the path so far—and excited to tackle what’s next at EMBER.
